Artwork Guidelines
How to Prepare Your Logo for Print & Embroidery
To ensure your branded workwear looks sharp, professional and consistent, we require high-quality artwork files for all print and embroidery orders.
Following the guidelines below will help avoid delays and ensure the best possible finish for your garments.
Accepted File Formats
For the highest quality results, we recommend supplying artwork in one of the following formats:
AI (Adobe Illustrator)
EPS (Vector File)
PDF (Vector format)
SVG
These vector formats allow us to scale your logo without losing quality and ensure crisp print and embroidery results.
Accepted Raster Formats:
PNG (high resolution, transparent background preferred)
JPEG (high resolution only)
Minimum resolution: 300 DPI at actual print size
Please note: Low-resolution images taken from websites or screenshots are not suitable for production and may result in additional artwork charges.
Vector vs Raster – Why It Matters
Vector files are scalable without losing quality, meaning your logo will remain sharp whether printed small on the chest or large across the back.
Raster files (JPEG/PNG) are pixel-based and may appear blurry if not supplied at high resolution.
If you’re unsure what file type you have, simply send it to us, we’re happy to check for you.
Embroidery Requirements
Embroidery works best with clean, clear artwork and solid colour designs.
Important considerations:
- Fine details may need simplifying
- Very small text may not be suitable
- Colour gradients cannot be embroidered
- Maximum stitch count may affect pricing
For new embroidery logos, a one-off digitising charge may apply. This converts your logo into a stitch file suitable for embroidery machines.
Once digitised, your logo can be reused on future orders.
Print Requirements
Print is ideal for:
- Larger designs
- Detailed logos
- Multi-colour artwork
- Gradient designs
Please ensure your artwork:
- Is in the preferable file formats listed above or must be a high resolution (minimum 300 DPI)
- Has a transparent background (preferred)
- Is supplied at the correct colour specification
Colour Matching
We will aim to match your brand colours as closely as possible.
For embroidery, thread colours are matched using available thread ranges.
For print, colours are matched digitally, but slight variations may occur depending on garment fabric and material.
If exact brand matching is critical, please notify us before production.
Artwork Approval Process
Before production begins:
- We will send a digital visual proof (if required).
- You must confirm artwork positioning and size.
- Production begins only after approval.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check:
- Spelling
- Logo version
- Colour accuracy
- Placement
Once approved, Prestige Design Workwear cannot be held responsible for errors not identified at proof stage.
